Vucinic Vows To Stay

Mirko Vucinic has put in some good performances for Roma over the past few seasons, and has successfully established his credibility as a top class player. This had led to increased speculation that the Montenegro international was being chased by Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, as well as the title holders Manchester United.

However, the 25-year-old has rubbished all rumours by confirming his loyalty to the Lupi. The player said that he was flattered with being linked to top class clubs in Europe, which he took as a sign that proved that he has grown to become an international quality player. He concluded by saying that he has extended his contract with the capital club, which means that he would undoubtedly continue his stay at the Olimpico.

Zenga Wants The Scudetto

Walter Zenga is very optimistic with the current crop of players he has at Palermo, and with his current statement, the fans may wonder if he is being optimistic to a fault.

According to a report on La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rosanero coach has said that his side will aim to win the Scudetto this season. He refined these words by stating that this is in order to gain the maximum amount of points next season. The former Catania tactician further pointed out the surprises that Wolfsburg, Unire Urzicieni, and Bordeaux had pulled in their respective leagues, and questioned why the Aquile could not do the same in the Serie A.

Sampdoria Sign Zauri

According to the latest reports, Luciano Zauri has moved camp and will now be a face in the Sampdoria line-up. The 31-year-old Italian did not figure in the long term plans at the Olimpico, and the club promptly loaned him out to Fiorentina. He has now been loaned out to the Blucerchiati, who have the option to buy the player next season.

The present loan to the Genoa based club is due to the fact that the Viola did not exercise their right to hold on to the player when the loan deal expired.
