Locatelli signs for Mantova

Serie B side Mantova have pulled off a transfer coup by securing the signature of former Inter target Tomas Locatelli.

The former Milan attacking midfielder had been strongly tipped to join Inter this summer.

Bologna were also said to be keeping a close eye on the Siena star, who made 111 appearances for the Felsinei between 2002 and 2005, but the 32-year-old has surprisingly decided to drop out of Serie A.

Locatelli will undergo a medical at Mantova’s Stadio Danilo Martelli tomorrow afternoon and should be formally unveiled in the evening.

The move will be a free transfer because Locatelli’s contract at the Montepaschi Arena expired at the end of June.

The Bergamo native has two Azzurri caps, making his debut in November 1999 but he hasn’t featured in La Nazionale’s squad in recent years.

Napoli And Brescia Swap Deal?

Napoli and Brescia may be lining up an exchange of personnel, with Fabrizio Zambrella and Sam Dalla Bona…

An interesting exchange deal for two important players may take place shortly between the Partenopei and the Rondinelle.

Napoli returned to Serie A with a bang last season and the previous campaign was very successful in the eyes of the fans, with the light blues achieving a very respectable eighth place finish and an Intertoto Cup spot.

The possibility of UEFA Cup football has allowed for the capture of Mannini, and transfer target Marik Hamsik has pledged his immediate future to the club. The good transfer work during this summer period may not yet be over, with the possible swap of promising Swiss youngster Fabrizio Zambrella for ex Milanista Sam Dalla Bona on the cards.

This would be a win-win situation for the two clubs, as the Partenopei are looking for a winger and the 22 year old Zambrella would fit the bill, while on the other end Brescia would benefit from the experienced Dalla Bona.

Representatives from both clubs are reported to be meeting shortly to iron out the details of the switch.
