Tottenham are closing on the signing Real Zaragoza keeper Cesar Sanchez. The 36-year old veteran is likely to complete a move to White Hart Lane early next week, where he is to provide cover for Spurs first choice keeper Heurelho Gomes.
The former Spain international has been linked with a move to the Premier League side for a while now as Juande Ramos continues to add to his squad. Sanchez has been at Le Romareda for three years now after spending five years at Real Madrid.
After the departure of Radek Cerny and Paul Robinson earlier this summer, it comes as no surprise to me to see Sanchez heading for North London. I only really expect to see Sanchez playing for Spurs in cup games unless Gomes picks up an injury. Sanchez will provide excellent cover and will be a good addition to the Spurs squad.

Tottenham are planning a move for Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan. The Atletico Madrid frontman has impressed since leaving the Premier League giants back in 2004 at both Atletico and Villarreal. (Daily Mirror)
The Uruguayan international has been linked with a return to the Premier League last season, with former United legend Roy Keane supposedly keen on bringing him to Sunderland. The 29-year old is said to be open to a move back to England and Juande Ramos is ready to offer him the chance at White Hart Lane.
Spurs have been linked with several names this summer, mainly in the striking the department as they look to replace Robbie Keane. Forlan would likely cost Spurs at least £7 million and I feel if Ramos could get the best out of the player he could turn out to be a bargain at that price.
