Udinese – Siena Preview

Udinese have had a mixed start to the campaign. The Zebrette were dominant during their first game of the new Serie A season, thrashing Palermo 3-1 with two goals from Antonio Di Natale.
They then lost to Juventus in Turin before drawing with Napoli, but on Wednesday night they were authors of an impressive 3-0 away win over Bologna, allowing them to move up into sixth place.
Siena have recovered well following their opening day defeat against at Atalanta, and have remained unbeaten since picking up five points in the process and adding the scalp of Cagliari, while getting draws against Lecce and Sampdoria.

Milan - Inter Preview

This week’s big match up is the Milan derby between two of Italian football’s powerhouse teams, Italian Champions Inter Milan and World Champions AC Milan.

The encounter comes at a delicate time for the Rossoneri, who are attempting to make up for a terrible start to the campaign which saw them lose two games in a row. They have recovered somewhat, winning the next two but a win against their crosstown cousins would make up for the early disappointment. Inter are top of the table after 4 matches, on 10 points and remain unbeaten so far this term. A win over Milan would give the Nerazzurri a seven-point lead over their local rivals, while a loss would see Milan close the gap to just one point.

Juventus-Catania Preview

Juventus are struggling with two high profile injuries at the moment, as David Trezeguet and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon are both out for this home affair against Catania.

The good news for Juve is that they have Alessandro Del Piero back, and Carvalho Amauri is in top form again, scoring a goal in each of the last two Serie A encounters. Juve are fresh off the back of a 1-0 win against Cagliari and now they meet up with another relegation candidate in the Sicilians. Catania are improving in leaps and bounds with Walter Zenga at the helm and cannot be counted out of this one without a fight. Juve should win at home in this match up.
